Priorities |
|
Priority #1: ENSURING THE SECURITY OF DATA AND THE AVAILABILITY
OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPLICATIONS. These tasks must be done
correctly every day, every time. This is ITS' fundamental
responsibility. |
| |
| Priority #2: ENSURING THAT THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
CAN COMMUNICATE AMONG THEMSELVES AND WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD. Telephones
need to work when the receiver is picked up; workstations need
to connect to our mainframes and servers when the enter key is
depressed; and the outside world needs to have continual access
to our websites and web services. ITS works with technology specialists
across the campus to establish standards, ensure interoperability
and interconnectivity between departments, and plan for future
volume and service needs. |
| |
| Priority #3: PROVIDING THE UNIVERSITY WITH COMPETITIVE
ADVANTAGES IN RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION. By creating technological
tools that differentiate SFA from our competitors and make us a
more attractive higher education choice, ITS participates in the
overall University effort to attract qualified students, faculty,
and staff. |
| |
| Priority #4: CONTINUALLY IMPROVING INTERNAL UNIVERSITY
APPLICATIONS. ITS provides customization to vendor products (e.g.
SCT administrative systems) and writes tailored applications for
internal customers that streamline administrative processes and/or
save budget dollars. |
