THE BIG EVENT
SFA's The BIG Event promotes unity between the campus and community as students come together for one day to express their gratitude through service for the support from the Nacogdoches community. Students work in teams to complete projects across the Nacogdoches County as a way to say "thank you!" to the community for their support of SFA students. BADD Week
The Brothers of Omega Delta Phi fraternity will educate and enlighten SFA students of the effects of alcohol and the consequences of drinking and driving. Make a pledge to not Drink and Drive.

   

Go Greek, Go Green
Presented by the Environmental Awareness Movement (T.E.A.M.)

• A recycling competition between all fraternities and sororities.
• Check your mailbox for the application form.
• There is a $10 entry fee for each fraternity and sorority.

There will be two winners! The fraternity and sorority with the most aluminum cans collected from March 1 through April 1 each wins a customized tailgating tent!

   
Dresses for Dreams: Dress Collection

Hey ladies, do you have dresses sitting in the back of your closet that you don’t wear anymore and would like to donate it to charity? If so, donate them to Dresses for Dreams! ODK will be collecting dresses plus shoes and accessories, which all be accepted for tax deductible donations. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, March 24. All dresses will be sold March 25 and 26 for $40 or less.

Italian virtuosi flutist Raffaele Trevisani and his wife, pianist Paolo Girardi, will present a guest artist recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, in Cole Concert Hall as part of the SFA School of Music’s Cole Performing Arts Series. As performers in major halls throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas and South Africa, they are praised for their style and musicality. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2.50 for faculty/staff and $2 for students.

The SFA Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden will host the annual Nacogdoches Azalea Trail Symposium. Noted SFA horticulturist, Dr. David Creech, will be the featured speaker. He will discuss the unique features of deciduous azaleas, including their bright colors and fragrance. Lunch is provided, plus a guided tour of the Azalea Garden by Barbara Stump and Creech. Admission is $30 for SFA Gardens members; $40 for non-members.
