Hey ladies, do you have dresses sitting in the back of your closet that you don’t wear anymore and would like to donate it to charity? If so, donate them to Dresses for Dreams! ODK will be collecting dresses plus shoes and accessories, which all be accepted for tax deductible donations. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, March 24. All dresses will be sold March 25 and 26 for $40 or less.

The School of Art will open the second annual MA/MFA Graduate Fine Art Exhibition with a 5 to 8 p.m. reception in Griffith Gallery, located in Room 208 of the Griffith Fine Arts Building. The show features works produced in a variety of media by 17 graduate artists. All work will be for sale. The show runs through Friday, March 11. Admission to the reception and gallery is free. Dr. Nathan Nabb, SFA associate professor of saxophone, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, as part of the SFA School of Music's Cole Performing Art Series. The program consists of some of Nabb’s favorite pieces, including a transcription of Astor Piazzolla’s “Histoire du Tango” and David Maslanka’s “Song Book,” which is written for saxophone and marimba. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2,50 for faculty/staff and $2 for students.

In celebration of Frederic Chopin’s 201st birthday, Geneva Fung and other members of the SFA music faculty will present a recital of the composer’s works at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in Cole Concert Hall as part of the Cole Performing Arts Series. The program consists of works for solo piano, violin and piano, cello and piano, two pianos, and piano trio.
