Green is the New Black is a recycled fashion show hosted by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). We want YOU to create a design for the show. Alesha Renee has used her career in television, film and modeling as a platform to bring awareness to issues affecting young women such as domestic violence, sexual abuse and single parenting. Renee will discuss the daily issues women face, which cause them to doubt their worth. A question-and-answer session will follow. Men are also encouraged to attend and participate in this interactive program and share their perspectives of how a woman of worth should carry herself.

This event will help support the House Ear Institute, which is one of the world's foremost research, teaching, and treatment centers in the field of hearing. The registration fee is $10, and there is no limit on how many men from one organization may enter. With your registration you will also receive a free T-shirt! Please place your application and registration fee in an envelope and turn it in to the Delta Zeta mailbox located on the third floor of the Student Center by Monday, Feb. 7. The categories that the contestants will be competing in are: Q&A session, Talent and Pink & Green wear. The prize for the winner is $100 and $25 to Fuddruckers. Pianist Jura Margulis is the inaugural holder of the McAllister Endowed Professorship in Piano at the University of Arkansas. She recalls her imaginative childhood adventures on Mars and the discovery of her "birthday star" which leads her to a lifelong fascination with the heavens. She shares her telescope views of the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn with us; points out stars and constellations; and encourages everyone to make the time to look up, even if stargazing in urban areas with light pollution.
