The American Cancer Society's Nacogdoches County Relay For Life is less than two months away, and in recognition of the event, we invite you to Paint the Campus Purple – Relay For Life’s official color – from Monday, Jan. 31, to Friday, Feb. 4! Beginning Thursday, Jan. 27, decorate your office with purple and hope- and survivor-themed items, and your office could win an ice cream sundae party! SFA Athletics and the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce have teamed up again with Cram the Coliseum, a two-game promotion designed to bring more from the community to Lumberjack and Ladyjack basketball games.The tickets may be used for entrance to either the Ladyjacks game against Sam Houston State, 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, or the Lumberjacks game against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29 (televised game). Both games will be in William R. Johnson Coliseum. |

Faculty Recital featuring Dr. Deb Scott

Dr. Deb Scott, associate professor of trombone at Stephen F. Austin State University, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in Cole Concert Hall as part of the SFA School of Music’s Cole Performing Arts Series. Scott and pianist James Pitts, SFA staff accompanist, will perform works for trombone spanning three centuries. Soprano Debbie Berry, SFA vocal instructor, will join Scott and Pitts in the performances of two 18th century pieces. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2.50 for faculty/staff and $2 for students. |

$5 student rush tickets available for popular sports comedy
Only $5! Only $5! That’s all it will cost SFA students to join in the laughter as the internationally renowned Reduced Shakespeare Company presents “The Complete World of Sports (abridged)” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in W.M. Turner Auditorium as part of the SFA College of Fine Arts’ University Series.
Using acrobatic puns and physical gags, the three-man comedy troupe will take the audience through the entire world of sports at record-breaking speed, starting with the first sport ever played, Neanderthal-in-the-Middle.
