Undergraduate Research Conference scholars, finalists announced

The Undergraduate Research Conference Executive Committee is pleased to announce SFA’s Top Scholars and Finalists for the 2011 URC. These students were competitively selected from across SFA. Each college is represented by one Top Scholar and a number of finalists.

The Top Scholars will do interactive presentations at the 2011 URC Thursday, April 7. The finalists will offer poster presentations at the same event. Each Top Scholar will also receive a $250 prize and a plaque commemorating his or her achievement. This is a terrific achievement for each of these individuals, as well as their faculty mentors.

Freshen a musty garage: If you're about to set up your annual garage sale but humid weather has left the area smelling mustier than usual, try this trick. Spread a layer of cat litter in a shallow pan and place in an inconspicuous spot. The absorbent granules will soak up the moisture in the air that causes stale smells.
