Stephen F. Austin State University offering classes at Hill College

Stephen F. Austin State Univ rsity has partnered with Hill College and will begin offering upper-level courses on the Hillsboro campus in the fall semester. Two criminal justice classes will be taught on campus, and students also may take SFA courses online.

According to Gary A. Reeves, criminal justice program coordinator for Hill College, students can ultimately earn the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences through SFA. Reeves said that with the partnership in place, students benefit from a seamless transfer of their Hill College courses to SFA.

Dr. Patrick Mueller, SFA criminal justice department chair, will teach CJS 301: Law Enforcement on Wednesdays from 6:30 until 9:20 p.m. On Thursdays, Mueller will teach CJS 420: Criminal Justice Planning from 6:30 until 9:20 p.m.

Students interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree through SFA at Hill College should contact Reeves at (254) 582-2555, extension 311. A Master of Education degree in educational leadership is also available on the Hillsboro campus. Courses leading to the degree in are currently available online; however, starting in the spring, SFA will offer on-site classes on the Hillsboro campus.
