Holiday Extravaganza campus lighting ceremony set

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS – The annual tree lighting ceremony, Holiday Extravaganza!, will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 on the front steps of the Austin Building at Stephen F. Austin State University.

The event is sponsored by the Residence Hall Association and the Housing Department and will feature performances by the SFA Pep Band, Choir and Pom Squad. Dr. Tito Guerrero III, university president, and Brandon Du Bose, Residence Hall Association president, will participate in the festivities.

The Residence Hall Association is collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Nacogdoches Women’s Shelter. Toys may be brought to the ceremony or dropped off during business hours at the SFA Housing Office, on the first floor of the Austin Building.

Following the ceremony, refreshments will be served in the Spirit Lounge of the University Center, and Santa Claus will be available for pictures.
