University offering bus tour to Museum of Fine Arts, Houston


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The current exhibition "Basquiat" at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is the destination of a bus tour sponsored by the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art on Friday, Dec. 2. Registrations are now being accepted for the tour, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis due to the limited number of seats.

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, the Lawndale Art Center and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, all of which are within walking distance of the Museum of Fine Arts.

The bus will leave from the Art Building on Wilson Drive at 8:30 a.m. and leave Houston at 4:30 p.m., stopping at Freebird's for dinner.

The tour registration fee is $20. The Museum of Fine Arts has waived the entrance fee for participants, and the Contemporary Arts Museum is free. Participants who choose to visit the other museums are responsible for their admission fees. No meals are included in the registration cost.
