Faculty and student musicians present 'An Afternoon with Boccherini'


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present "An Afternoon with Boccherini" at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in Cole Concert Hall. Members of the SFA music faculty and students will present a variety of the composer's works in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of his death.

Featured faculty musicians include professors John W. Goodall, oboe; Charles Gavin, horn; and Andrew Parr, piano; assistant professors Jennifer Dalmas, violin, and Jeff Jacobsen, bass; and instructor Evgeni Raychev, cello.

Dalmas said she and the other faculty members are excited about presenting the concert devoted to the talented Italian composer and are pleased to include graduate students in the performance.
