Holiday Extravaganza campus lighting ceremony
set
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS Š The Stephen F. Austin State University Residence
Hall Association and Housing Department have announced the annual
tree lighting ceremony, Holiday Extravaganza!, at 6 p.m. Nov. 30
on the front steps of the Austin Building.
BSanta Claus will make a special appearance at
the event, which ushers in the holiday season at SFA with the powering
on of thousands of lights across the campus. The SFA Pep Band, Choir
and Pom Squad will present seasonal performances, and Dr. Tito Guerrero
III, university president, and Brandon Du Bose, RHA president, will
give their holiday addresses.
In addition to the festivities this year, RHA is collecting new, unwrapped
toys for the Nacogdoches WomenÕs Shelter. Toys may be dropped off during
business hours at the SFA Housing Office, located on the first floor
of the Austin Building, or may be brought to the lighting ceremony.
Following the ceremony, refreshments will be served in the Spirit Lounge
of the University Center and Santa Claus will be available for pictures.
