Local harpist performs in SFA masterwork concert

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Tess Erwin, a student in Stephen F. Austin State University's Music Preparatory Division, will perform with the SFA Masterworks Orchestra during the spring Choral Masterwork Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, in W. M. Turner Auditorium. The orchestra will perform "Tragic Overture" by Johannes Brahms and then join with the SFA combined choirs in presenting Brahms' "Ein Deutsches Requiem." Fifteen-year-old Erwin has studied harp with Alison Read for six years through the SFA program. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jack Erwin and a student at Nacogdoches High School.
