SFA students achieve 4.0
Six Stephen F. Austin State University students graduated with perfect
4.0 grade point averages during the spring commencement ceremony. They
are, from left, Karen Kadow of Hockley, journalism/advertising; Natisha
Morris of Gary, speech-language pathology; Marcus A. Arreguin of San
Augustine, math and geography; Terry Lee Acker Jr. of Tatum, applied
arts and sciences; Teresa A. Walker of Recklaw, interdisciplinary studies;
and Ginger Smith of Huntington, applied arts and sciences. Of the 1,038
candidates scheduled to receive degrees, 173 are honor graduates, including
52 summa cum laude, 51 magna cum laude and 70 cum laude. There were
821 candidates for bachelor’s degrees, 207 candidates for master’s
degrees and 10 doctoral candidates.
