Annual art tour visits Mexico City


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University Department of Art recently sponsored an art tour to Mexico City and surrounding areas. The 23 participants visited the National Archeological Museum, the Templo Mayor, Frida Kahlo's house/museum and other art galleries and museums in Mexico City and archeological sites such as Teotihuac‡n, Tula and Xochimilco.

The SFA Department of Art annually sponsors an art tour to cities around the world famous for art and architecture. Other cities recently visited include London, Paris, Barcelona and Berlin. The trips, which are open to SFA students and people in the community, are reasonably priced, according to Shannon Bailey, SFA art gallery director.
