"Through the years, we've used several different formats for grouping the music we're presenting," explained John W. Goodall, SFA professor of music and festival coordinator. " But this is the first time we've arranged the festival according to the composers' nationalities. Doing so should give the audience an interesting perspective."

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra members Ivo Ivanov, violin, and David Hermann, viola, will join SFA faculty members Goodall, oboe; Jennifer Dalmas, violin; Evgeni Raychev, cello; and James Pitts, piano, in presenting the concerts. Also performing will be Ping-Ting Lan, piano instructor in the Music Preparatory Division at SFA.

Three Russian string quartets from the 19th and 20th centuries comprise the second concert's program. Featured composers are Mikhail Glinka, Alexander Borodin and Dmitri Shostakovich.

The program for the "French Composers Concert" includes a Baroque trio sonata, Francis Poulenc's "Sonata for Oboe and Piano," and CŽsar Franck's "Piano Quintet in F minor."

The festival's closing concert will feature Ludwig van Beethoven's "String Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 3," W. A. Mozart's "Oboe Quartet in F Major, KV 370," and Robert Schumann's "Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 44."
