SFA music camp participants to perform concert

Participants of the Stephen F. Austin State University Department of Music String Chamber Music Camp will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, in Cole Concert Hall.

The camp is being held July 17 through 21 in conjunction with the department’s annual Chamber Music in the Pines Festival.

The participants, most of whom are high school-aged students, will work daily in rehearsals with SFA string faculty and guest artists on string quartet and trio repertoire.

“This is a great opportunity for students to work closely with professional musicians and receive individualized instruction on chamber music,” said Jennifer Dalmas, SFA assistant professor of music.

Admission to the concert is free, and the public is invited.
