Society of Physics Students chosen for award

The Stephen F. Austin State University chapter of the Society of Physics Students was selected as an outstanding chapter for the 2002 – 2003 school year by the National Society of Physics Students.

Selection is based on the activities of the chapter in areas of physics research, public science outreach, physics tutoring programs, hosting and representation at physics meetings and providing social interaction for chapter members. Each year less than 10 percent of SPS chapters nationwide are honored with this award.
