SFA Counseling Clinic Offers Grief Support

The Stephen F. Austin State University Counseling Clinic is offering free counseling to volunteers, SFA students and area residents who may have difficulty coping with the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy.

The counseling clinic, a division of the SFA Department of Human Services, is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

“We are primarily set up for service to the community, and this is a way for us to give back to the community and also allow our graduate students an opportunity to help those volunteers involved in the search and recovery effort,” said Robert Patterson, director of the clinic. “Additionally, the clinic is available to other citizens who would like to utilize our services at this difficult time.”
