FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE UPW Woman of the Year
University Professional Women named Carolyn Hardy, right, Stephen F. Austin State University assistant director of admissions, as its 2006 Woman of the Year. Trina Benson Menefee, UPW vice president, presents a plaque to Hardy at an April 19 luncheon. The award is based on academic and professional credentials, years of service to the university and evidence of professional and/or community service. Comments in letters of support for Hardy included: "She represents SFA with a glowing pride;" "she is a woman of principle and purpose;" and "her motivation and excitement about working with students and promoting the university is inspirational."
