SFA to dedicate Human Services Building Tuesday

The public is invited to the dedication of the Stephen F. Austin State University Human Services Building Tuesday, April 20. The dedication ceremony, scheduled for 11:45 a.m., will be preceded by a 30-minute performance of the SFA Steel Drum Band.

The dedication will take place outside the building, located near the corner of College and Raquet streets. After the ceremony, the building will be open for tours, and refreshments will be served.

Parking and shuttles to the ceremony will be available in the commuter parking lot off University Drive beginning at 11 a.m.

The university broke ground for the 61,000-square-foot building in August 2002. The $16.6 million project represents the first major construction on the campus since the Liberal Arts North Building in 1984. The new building houses the Department of Human Services, Telecommunications and Networking, and Disability Services.

For more information about the dedication, please call the SFA Office of Public Affairs, 468-2605.
