SFA alumnus to speak at Communication Conference Luncheon
Stephen F. Austin State University alumnus Kyle Langley will speak at the 12th annual SFA Communication Conference and Awards Luncheon. Langley is the co-founder and managing partner of Multicultural Insights, a full-service market research firm in Miami, Fla. Multicultural Insights focuses on niche markets and specializes in Hispanic and African American segments. Langley is a 1997 graduate of SFA, with a Master of Arts degree in communication. As a military veteran, he also holds a doctorate in communication/information science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a bachelor’s degree in sports information/broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California. Langley has headed research projects for Fortune 500 companies including Ford, General Motors, Hanes, M&M Mars, Sears, Wal-Mart and Jack Daniels. In the years before his research career, Langley held sports, media and broadcasting positions and was an award-winning sports anchor for KLSB-TV in Nacogdoches. While pursuing his master’s degree at SFA, he was news director at radio station KYKS in Lufkin. He also worked in various media jobs for CBS Sports, NBC, Los Angeles Lakers and for boxing promoter Don King. Langley will speak during the casino-themed luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in the University Center Grand Ballroom.
