Registration open for: Information Systems For Managers (Track 6) Starts Friday, January 6, 2012 On the SFA Campus

The Texas Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program offered by Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) is designed for working professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills to better perform their jobs and receive additional consideration for promotion into managerial positions. The CPM Programs offered by SFA are nationally accredited.

CPM Programs may be started with any track, except Track 7. Tracks do not need to be taken in any particular order. However, all seven tracks must be completed within a five-year period to qualify for completion of the program. A track also may be taken at any location offering the CPM Program.

There are over 800 CPMs in Texas. You will receive a certificate of completion from the SFA Department Of Government for 25 contact hours of management training and education for completion of each track.

Each track includes seminars, networking, field based applications, and readings designed to enhance the abilities that participants need to deal with "real world" problems, situations, and opportunities. Courses are team taught by a combination of academic and practitioner faculty who develop and deliver instruction. Course fees include textbooks, class materials, break supplies, and lunches.

Our program is endorsed by the American Society of Public Administration and has been approved for continuing education credit by the Commissioners' Education Committee of the Judges and Commissioners Association as mandated by the Texas State Legislature. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) and the Texas State Board of Accountancy have also endorsed the CPM Program for continuing education credit.
