Job Description:
|
Teaching
courses in the orientation and mobility/visual impairment program,
advising students and participating in research and scholarly activities.
Teaching responsibilities will include teaching face to face classes
on campus as well as distant learning classes via the internet and
interactive video. Direct grants presently funded in the program
and help secure additional funding. All faculty are expected
to participate in recruitment and student retention activities.

Professional Requirements or
Special Skills:
|
Certified
in orientation and mobility by the Academy for Certification of
Vision, Rehabilitation and Education Professionals. Certified
teacher of the visually impaired. At least five years experience
teaching orientation and mobility and at least five years experience
as a teacher of the visually impaired. Preference will be
given to individuals holding an earned doctorate. Individuals
willing to complete their doctorate in six years will also be considered.
Must have University teaching experience and experience setting
up and teaching distant learning classes. |
