Position:

Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure-Track)

Starting Date:

Fall 2008

Job Description:

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in fashion merchandising and other areas of human sciences.  Assist with advisory roles relating to student professional organizations, student achievement, mentoring and credentialing.  Assume normal faculty responsibilities including teaching, research and service to the university, and working cooperatively with human sciences faculty and staff to establish positive teacher-student relationships.

Professional Requirements or
Special Skills:

Ph.D. desired. Evidence of successful university-level teaching experience; industry experience; a record of leadership with student professional associations; faculty-level experience with certification/accreditation processes, and experience with grantsmanship, distance education and research is advantageous.

Minimum Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience; salary is based on a nine-month appointment. Grade:
