Job Description:

Attend class and take thorough, detailed notes; may perform duties of test reader/scribe to include reading exams and marking answer sheets; lab scribe, assisting in laboratory environment; and/or homework scribe as assigned; work is performed independently under the supervision of Disability Services.

Professional Requirements or
Special Skills:

Graduation from high school or equivalent required; no previous experience necessary; must be able to write very legibly; must be able to take good, detailed notes and accommodate the disabled student; must have completed 12 college credit hours, with overall 2.5 GPA; must include unofficial transcript or grade report; a sample of timed notetaking from a recorded lecture will be completed at screening.  Must be able to coordinate schedule with the personal and academic schedule of the disabled student for whom services will be provided; ability to establish effective working relations with disabled students; dependability and punctuality a MUST, as are patience and courteousness; must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Salary:

$6.70 /hr
