Minigrants

Overview
Minigrant funds are awarded through SFA's Research Enhancement Program. Awards are intended to help faculty members with unforeseen expenses in creative and scholarly work and to enhance research opportunities for faculty members, support innovative research, and serve as seed monies to increase a faculty member's competitiveness in the acquisition of external funds. See Minigrant Guidelines below (revised April 08).

To Apply for Minigrants:

You may apply for a minigrant award of up to $2,500 (effective April 30,2008), or multiple awards not to exceed $2,500 in a single fiscal year. If applicable, please include an estimate of shipping and handling costs for equipment requests in your budget. Further restrictions are place on travel awards. Please refer to the MInigrant Guidelines (below) for details.

Minigrant funds must be expended in accordance with the approved budget and are subject to all local, state, and federal fiscal regulations. All scholarly activities related to a minigrant award are subject to applicable state and federal laws, as well as university policies and procedures.

The minigrant application form should submitted to Dr. Carrie Brown, PO Box 13024.

Applicants should review the following guidelines carefully for a complete explanation of constraints and limitations of these awards.
