  • Distinguished Grant Award Recipients

    Congratulations to the following recipients announced at this year's SOAR symposium:

    • Dr. Matthew Beauregard, Mathematics & Statistics, Faculty Research Recipient for
      National Science Foundation $179,995 grant award

    • Dr. Michael Walker, Cyndra Krogen-Morton, Angela Valdes, Susan Nolan, Student Affairs for Support Services, University Impact Recipients for Office on Violence Against Women (Department of Justice) $300,000 grant award

    • Veronica Beavers, Multicultural Affairs, First Grant Award for Texas Commission on the Arts, $750 grant award

    • Silver Level of the Million Dollar Club, (faculty/staff who have received between $500,000 and $999,999 in competitive grant awards since 2013). Dr. Jeremy Stovall, Forestry, has received almost $650,000 in this timeframe on multiple research projects.

      Bronze Level of the Million Dollar Club, (faculty/staff who have received between $250,000 and $499,999 in competitive grant awards since 2013) - Dr. Shiyou Li, Forestry, has received over $290,000 in this timeframe on multiple research projects. Dr. Michael Walker, Student Affairs, has received $310,000 on multiple projects.


  • Spring Workshop - Grant Writing 101

    This workshop provides an overview of the basic principles of writing a successful proposal, the life cycle of the proposal process, and how to determine the right funding source for your project.

    Two sessions will be held, both in the Wyatt Room at the Steen Library:
