Financial Aid

SFA provides online information and application materials for student financial aid at the Financial Aid Website. Make this your one-stop shop for paying for graduate school. To be eligible for financial aid a student must:

• Be enrolled in an eligible degree-seeking program with clear or provisional admission. Students who are in the certificate program are not eligible.
• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
• Have a valid Social Security Number.
• Be registered with Selective Service (if required).
• Be in good academic standing and maintain satisfactory academic progress toward completion of a degree.
• Not owe a refund on a Federal grant or be in Default on a Federal educational loan.
• Demonstrate a financial need, except for some loan programs.

Parents income will be required unless the student meets one of the following criteria:

• Will be 24 years old before January 1.
• Is a graduate or professional student.
• Is married as of the application date.
• Has legal dependents who receive more than half of their support from the student.
• Was a ward of the court before turning 18 or both parents are deceased.
• Is a veteran.
• Has documented exceptional circumstances.
