Faculty

Currently, the MSRI program has four faculty, Drs. Theresa Coble, Mike Legg, Pat Stephens Williams, and Ray Darville. During Year 1 of the program, Mike and Theresa borrowed student computers and workspace to set-up "command central" for hosting class seminar discussions (i.e., chat sessions). During Year 2, Pat joined us and we offered four classes per semester. Ray joined us during Year 3 offering Data Analysis to help students in analyzing their research data. Heading into year 4, we now offer five - six content courses per semester for all students and research seminars for those working on their theses. We find the weekly interaction with students and the dialogue about course-related topics truly inspiring and educational. We've gotten to know everyone--and their online personality--better than we ever imagined possible. We've formed an "online community" that spans the U.S. and brings together Park Service and non-Park Service interpreters for mutual enrichment.
