Procedures
SFA is now accepting
applications for Fall 2008 admission into the program. A complete
application includes (1) an SFA Graduate School application and
(2) an Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture graduate
program application.

Tuition
and Fees
For Fall 2008,
tuition and fees for out-of-state students will be approximately
$1200.00 per three credit hour class. Texas residents will pay regular
tuition and fee rates of approximately $765.00 per 3-hour class.

Admission
Requirements
Admission requirements
for the MSRI degree program include the following:
- For
clear admission, an applicant must have an overall undergraduate
grade point average (GPA) of 2.8 and a GPA of at least 3.0 in
the last 60 hours of undergraduate work (each on a 4.0 scale)
and a minimum composite score on the Verbal and Quantitative sections
of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) of at least 900.
- Students
not meeting the above admission criteria may be admitted with
probationary status if they have an overall GPA of at least 2.5
and at least a 2.5 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework
(each on a 4.0 scale) and a composite score on the Verbal and
Quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) of at
least 800.
- Provisional
admission may be available for students who are unable to provide
all of the required documentation prior to the first semester
of enrollment, but who based on previous academic performance
appear to meet the requirements for clear admission (2.8 overall
GPA and a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework).
- Exceptions
to the above admission requirements may be made on the recommendation
of the Graduate Council to the Dean of the College of Forestry
following a written appeal by the applicant to the Graduate Council.
