Tenure-track position teaching and conducting scholarly activity
in Environmental Interpretation and Forest Recreation Management.
Responsibilities will include teaching graduate courses in the
distance education-based M.S. in Resource Interpretation program
[available online: www.sfasu.edu/msri]
and possibly teaching undergraduate courses in Forest Recreation
Management; supervising master's and Ph.D. students; developing
an externally funded research program; and contributing professional
service to the region and state. Close collaboration with
other faculty will be essential.
Professional Requirements

Special Skills:
The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in Forest Recreation
Management, Environmental Interpretation, the Human Dimensions
of Natural Resources or a closely related field. Preference
will be given to the applicants demonstrating a history of
successful teaching and practical experience in Environmental
Interpretation. Experience in distance learning and
Web-based education is essential.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
