Requirements for ExCET
Department of Modern Languages

- A mastery
level of at least 80% on the pre-ExCET test in the one-hour
475 ExCET preparation course referred to in the College
of Liberal Arts ExCET Requirements.
French 303, 304 and 330.

- A
mastery level of at least 80% on the pre-ExCET test
in the one-hour 475 ExCET preparation course referred
to in the College of Liberal Arts ExCET Requirements.
Spanish 303, 304
and 433 (Applied Linguistics and Culture for Teachers).

- Upon
successful completion of the ExCET requirements,
students will be issued bar codes that will allow
them to take the ExCET.
- Unsuccessful
Outcome
- Students
who do not reach the minimum standards on the pre-ExCET
will receive a WH in the one-hour 475 course and
may retake the test after remedial work. Students
whould be aware that WH converts to F after one
year.

advanced course or courses corresponding ot the
area(s) of unsatisfactory performance.
