Jane H. Long, Ph.D.Assistant ProfessorDepartment of Mathematics and Statistics
|
About Dr. Long:
Dr. Long conducts research in the field of algebraic topology and is particularly interested in the cohomology of finite groups, especially relating to finite group actions on topological spaces (i.e., cw-complexes having the homotopy type of a product of spheres).
Dr. Long first visited East Texas as a kid to attend a summer camp, where she eventually taught campcraft and nature classes, and she is excited to be back in the piney woods. Outside of mathematics, she likes to run, knit, cook, do yoga, and travel to visit family. And yes, she is married to the other Dr. Long.
