WHO:    Teachers who want to become 4th-8th grade mathematics content specialists.

WHAT:  Graduate program in mathematics education and leadership.

WHEN:  Beginning Spring 2002 through Spring 2004.  Application Deadline--11/16/01;  Acceptance Notification--December 7, 2001.

WHERE: On campus and at home--residential and distance learning.

District Commitment

  1. Statement of Recommendation for Teacher Applicant.

  2. Release Commitment:  4 Fridays per semester.

  3. Assignment of new inductees to teacher, serving as mentor, for 2002-2003.

  4. Tuition and Fees match from non-federal district funds:

Spring 2002 commitment (6 hrs.): approximately $750-$850.

Summer institutes (9hrs. each): approximately $1000.

bullet

Total district contribution approximately $4500 for 3 academic years to
match NSF contribution of approximately $6000.

Will be billed each semester.
