Giving Opportunities

The College of Liberal & Applied Arts is seeking to enhance its capabilities to make a difference on behalf of its students, faculty, and region. While we have built solid programs, we continue to strive to be the best at all we do. This level of service and commitment is owed to everyone with whom we interact. It is for this reason that additional resources—financial and otherwise—are required to build programs that are unsurpassed at the national and even international levels. We want to work as a team with our supporters to achieve excellence across the board.

Please consider joining our effort to establish something truly special. Any amount would be of great benefit. Here’s how to become involved:

  • Endowment: a large contribution that enables a program or activity to survive in perpetuity from the earnings generated by interest on a deposit. Such gifts typically sponsor student scholarships, the naming of a facility/program (building, department, college) or activity (lecture series, professorship, center, faculty development). Estate planning is commonly used for these purposes. An endowment creates a legacy in honor of a person or family.
  • Annual gift: a contribution, large or small, that provides support for a specific activity or for general use. The money is typically spent during the academic year in which the donation was received.Donations can be made in the form of cash, securities, real estate, retirement plan assets, life insurance, and stock.
