It is possible that a student might have to miss an athletic event to study for a more important midterm or final. To let those who are unable to attend know of our victory, SFA has a purple light visible on the top of the tallest building on campus, Garner Tower. Since 1968, after every victorious SFA game, the students of SFA and the residents of Nacogdoches have been able to look to Garner’s purple light and rejoice.
