Site Structure - www.sfasu.edu is built in accordance with the guidelines created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The site is constructed with valid Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) defining the content and a series of Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) files determine the layout and presentation of the content.

Why this is done - Designing with these tools and methods gives www.sfasu.edu many advantages:

Web browsers - Most modern web browsers adhere to the standards set by W3C. Some older browsers, such as Netscape Navigator 4, do not support these standards.
