School of Social Work
The College of Applied Arts and Sciences currently enrolls 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students and is located on the fourth floor of the Vera Dugas Liberal Arts North Building. The college officially became a college in 1980. The college graduates students with critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Social work is part of the College of Applied Arts and Sciences which also includes the departments of communications, criminal justice and military science. Students in the social work program participate in field instruction, child welfare and policy activities.
The School of Social Work is located on the south edge of the SFA campus and was completed in 2002.
