William Gibson, Ph.D.
Organismal Biology

Dr. Gibson joined the biology faculty in the Fall of 1962. He earned his B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Gibson then earned his M.S. in Zoology and later his Ph.D. in Entomology from Kansas State University.

Research Interests

A verteran of the US Army, Dr. Gibson has an extensive list of references for his work on many varieties of insects he has observed. He also has received funding from several different extramural organizations. Dr. Gibson has been a long standing sponsor for the biology club and is one of the two full professors in the department.
