University Identification Cards

 

Location and hours of operation:

ID Cards can be obtained in person at the Card Services office (room 1.205) in the Student Center. The office is open 8-5 Mon-Fri. through lunch during the fall and spring semesters, but is closed for lunch during the summer semesters.

Faculty and Staff identification cards are distributed from Card Services and are governed by University Policy.

 

Requirements for ID Card:

To obtain an ID card an individual must be a student, faculty, or staff member of the university. Picture identification or other proof of identity will be required when obtaining an ID card.

 

Validation:

Student card validation will be done each semester and the student must have paid all previous balances and current semester's tuition and fees. Cards with outstanding balances must be validated at the Business Office (2nd floor Austin bldg.), SC information desk, or Card Services Office.

Faculty and Staff cards are validated on a yearly basis by the Human Resources office (2nd floor Austin Bldg.)

 

Costs:

ID cards cost $5.00
Special badges(i.e. nursing speech/hearing clinic, etc.) cost $6.00

 

Guidelines:

Student Id cards are the property of Stephen F. Austin State University and must be presented to the university officials upon request. Student ID cards are for use by the named cardholder only. It is a violation of university policy to present for use a card other than one's own. Lost/found ID cards should be reported to the Card Services office immediately.

 

Uses:

Student ID cards are used to access residence halls, meal plans, and Jack Bucks accounts. These are online services and matters of concern for theses services should be forwarded to the following:

For hall access contact the front desk of the residence hall.

For dining access contact the dining services office in room 1.301 of the Sudent Center.

For Jack Bucks contact the Student Center Operations office in Student Center Room 1.309

Validated student ID cards also allow access to offline admission services including, Health Clinic, HPE Complex, Wellness Center, Steen Library, and free admission to regular season athletic events. To gain access to these offline services the ID card must be validated either at the business office, SC Information desk, or Card Services office. Top
