Internship Program

Supervised work experience with an approved justice agency.  The course is graded on a Pass/Fail basis.

Internships are offered during Summer Sessions only.

Information sessions are held in late spring to answer any questions, and to help prospective interns find placements, for the upcoming summer.

Prerequisites and

Requirements:

Criminal Justice major, second major, or minor

Junior standing
GPA 2.5 or better, both overall and in Criminal justice
Completion of 18 semester hours of criminal justice course work
Consent of Intern Supervisor.

Student will be required to:

Keep a log of dates worked, hours worked, and activities for each day worked.

Complete 180 contact hours

Write a paper about the internship experience (details are given in the internship packet).

Supervisor will complete an appraisal form near the end of the internship

and return it to the internship supervisor. For further information contact
