Daniel Abbey (’90-Corrections) is program administrator over the parole violator facilities (ISF) and substance absue felony punishment facilities (SAFPF) in Austin. He has held this position since February 2001.
Michelle Harris Allred(’02-Legal Assistant), was married in 2004 and now works as a Legal Assistant in Henderson, Texas for the Mann Firm.
David Annen
(’99-Law Enforcement) currently resides in Austin with his wife Megan. He currently is employed with Travis County as a Probation Officer.
Greg Alvarez (’91-Law Enforcement) worked for the Dallas Police Department for a short time after gradation and completed their academy. He currently works in San Antonio, Texas with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), a position held since August 1992. Greg’s wife of ten years, Gena, is also an ATF agent.
Allison Bray (’02) and Chad Bredthauer (’02), Law Enforcement graduates were married March 1, 2003. They now reside in Cyprus, Texas. Chad works for Progressive Insurance as a claims investigator and Allison is employed with Travelers Insurance as a claims analyst.
Jamie Richards Blevins (’98), Law Enforcement graduate now resides in Houston, Texas with her husband Lonnie, a Harris County Arson Investigator. After graduating in May 1998, Jamie worked for the Texas Attorney General’s Office, Child Support Division for several years. She is now employed as a legal assistant for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Corporate Fraud Task Force division in Houston, Texas. Jamie and Lonnie recently began parents of a daughter, Shelby Madison, born in January of 2004. Jamie currently works as a legal assistant for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Corporate Fraud Task Force division.
Rebecca Cole (’01-Corrections), is a case manager for developmentally challenged adults. She is pursuing graduate work for her LPC (licensed professional counselor) at the University of Houston.
Dominick Peter Castro (’03-Law Enforcement), graduated from Highlands Ranch Academy in December 2003. He is now a sheriff’s deputy with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office in Centennial, Colorado.
Jeremy Crelia (’02-Corrections), is back at SFA in graduate school. He is enrolled in the Master of Public Administration Program (MPA) and working for the University Police Department.
Jason N. Daniel (’98-Law Enforcement), graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, NM, January 2003. He is now employed as a police officer for the U.S. Department of Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, D.C. Jason has held this position since October of 2002.
Penny Parker Davis (’93-Legal Assistant), is currently employed as a freelance legal assistant in Austin.
Melanie DeLeon (’02-Law Enforcement), since October 2002 has been with the Department of Homeland Security-Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in McAllen, Texas. Mel served as a security screener and supervisor. She is currently attendingFederal Law Enforcement training in Artesia, New Mexico.
Earlene Festervan (’82) is the Director for Jefferson County Restitution Center #1 in Beaumont. They are part of Adult Probation and the only female restitution center in Texas. American Correctional Association (ACA) published her first book, Survival Guide for New Probation Officers. They will be publishing her second book, Women Probationers: Supervision and Success this summer. Ms. Festervan is also adjunct faculty for Lamar University, where she teaches Criminal Justice and Sociology.
Justin Frazier (’06-Law Enforcement) now works for the Brazoria County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy.
Lauren Gilmette (’03-Law Enforcement) is attending Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Pamela Halferty (’04-Law Enforcement) is now employed with the Arlington Texas Police Department.
Ryan Hall (’02-Law Enforcement), graduated June 18, 2003 from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Training Academy. He is a game warden for Orange County, Texas.
Michelle Hamilton (’05-Corrections), now works for Child Protective Services in Angleton, Texas and lives in Lake Jackson.
Brent Handy (’01-Law Enforcement), is currently employed with the Nacogdoches Police Department.
Jim Holt (’93-Law Enforcement) and Donna J. (Krum) Holt (’94-Law Enforcement), currently live and work in Tyler, Texas. Jim has been with the Tyler Police Department since 1994. He currently serves as a lead Accident Investigator, Patrolman, Recruiter, and Explorer Advisor. Jim has completed assignments as an FTO (Field Training Officer) and Vehicle Crimes Investigator. Donna pursued a second degree in Special Education/Autism and is now a teacher with Tyler ISD.
Josh Jackson (’02-Law Enforcement), is now employed with The Coppell Police Department. He previously worked for The Colony Police Department, as well as the El Campo Police Department. Josh and Kayla welcomed daughter, Madelyn Grace on August 18, 2005.
Kendralyn Jasper (’02-Law Enforcement), is close to completing law school at Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Noel Johnson (Law Enforcement), is currently law enforcement liaison for the Texas Municipal Police Association.
Jason Krauland ('04-Law Enforcement), is now employed with the Mequite Police Department.
Kim Collier LeGard (’89-Law Enforcement), graduated from the East Texas Police Academy in 1990. She was employed with the Nacogdoches Police Department from 1991 - 1996 as a Police Officer. Kim then worked for the Smith County Sheriff's Office from 1996 - 1998 as a Dispatcher/911 Operator and Reserve Deputy. She married Stephen LeGard in March 1988. They are now the parents twin sons, Jordan and Logan. The LeGard family resides in Lewisville, Texas.
Kelly Pearson (’07-Legal Assistant), is working in Fort Worth with the Keith Law Firm, P.C. as a Litigation Legal Assistant.
Trey Ramsey ('91 - Law Enforcement) after graduating, Trey worked for the Mesquite, Texas Police Department for 6 years as a patrolman. In 1997 Trey married and they relocated to the Kansas City area. He worked for the Prairie Village, Kansas Police Department for 2 years as a patrolman and Field Training Officer. In 1999 Trey went to work for Sprint PCS, supervising wireless fraud investigations. After completing his M.B.A. in 2001 at Baker University, he held various positions with SBC Communications and with Sprint. Trey returned to law enforcement in 2006 and now works for the Frisco, Texas Police Department.
Rebecca Sooter (’00-Legal Assistant), graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in May 2006. She currently works in Fort Worth as an associate in a law office which handles probate, guardianship, and family matters
John Wesley Stewart (’03-Law Enforcement), graduated in April 2004 from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Academy in Austin, Texas. He is now stationed in Center, Texas.
Alesha Williams (’01-Legal Assistant), graduated in May 2004 from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. Alesha is currently recruiting for Wesleyan.
Mike Wilson (’01-BAAS), resided in Jasper, Texas. He worked in the Jasper Police Department patrol division 1984- 1988, and as detective 1988 - 1994. Mike was Jasper County Criminal District Attorney Investigator 1994 - 2003 and again from 2007 to the present. He served as D.A. investigator during the James Byrd case in 1998. His wife, Becky is the Jasper High School Librarian.
Tom Winn (’90-Law Enforcement), is currently living in Houston. After graduation from SFA Tom joined Destec Energy, Inc., where he was responsible for security at the headquarters. By the end of 1996 he was responsible for all corporate security functions at Destec. Tom taught criminal justice in the Spring Branch ISD, Houston. He is currently the manager of vendor relations, consulting and special projects for Air Security International, L.P., a global intelligence and security provider. Tom joined ASI in November 2002, as manager of the intelligence division.
Stephen Zalesky (’02-Law Enforcement), was married on December 21, 2002 to Kim Davis (’02-Education). They reside in Atascocita, Texas. Stephen is employed with Transportation Security Administration Department of Homeland Security. He is currently a security team leader at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.
