| Music Programming: KSAU offers a variety of music formats to suit the various tastes of our listeners. Below is a list of those formats and the times that they can be heard. Jazz - Weekdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM If you like Jazz then tune in to this block of format for all of the latest Jazz music from around the nation. The Blend - Weekdays from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM This is where all of the latest Indie Rock releases can be heard. Tune in and catch great artists such as Death Cab For Cutie, Rilo Kiley, and Bright Eyes. Niterock - Weekdays from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM If you want to catch the latest punk or metal bands then make sure to listen so that the latest from bands like As I Lay Dying, Coheed and Cambria, and Darkest Hour can bless your ears and your Rock Fist. Classic Hits - Weekends from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM The music you all know the words too! It’s only the best from Bob Dylan to Led Zeplin plus everything in between. Dust off the vinyl (those round, disc things) to catch the greatest music from the 60’s, 70’s, and the 80’s. Blues - Weekends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tune it and do it Blues Style! World Beat - Weekends from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM Great music from around the globe! Hip Hop - Weekends from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM Flip over to us for some of the latest and greatest music from the Hip Hop world! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KSAU News: KSAU News Updates - Weekdays at 12:00, 5:00, and 6:00 KSAU provides daily news updates to keep our listeners updated about events on the SFA campus and in the Nacogdoches and Lufkin area. All broadcasts are produced by KSAU staff members and try to provide an outlet of news and information not covered by other media. We also subscribe to the Associated Press news wire for up to the minute news and weather information. Locally Produced Programs Campus & Community - A half-hour look at news and events happening around the area. SFA Focus - A five-minute program highlighting events happening on the SFA campus. KSAU Community Calendar - A two-minute feature listing weekly campus and area events. KSAU Concert Info - A two-minute program telling information about concerts in the areas of Nacogdoches, Houston & Dallas. KSAU Entertainment Update - Weekdays at 2:05 & 9:05 PM. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sports on KSAU: KSAU Sports Updates - Weekdays at 12:30, 5:30, and 6:30 Being on the campus of SFA allows KSAU’s daily sports updates to keep listeners in the know with what’s happening from the SFA Athletics Department. You’ll also get other area sports, including information from the Nacogdoches High Dragons and other sporting events from across the state. KSAU Sports Call-In Show - Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 We are proud to be the only station in east Texas to offer a live sports call-in program every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 5:30. The program covers a wide spectrum of sporting events and allows members of the community to call and voice their opinions and predictions. Lumberjack Update - Wednesday at 11:30 and 3:30 A local 30-minute program discussing the past week and highlighting the upcoming events in SFA Athletics. Listen every Wednesday at 11:30AM and 3:30PM for news, scores, and interviews with coaches and players. KSAU Ladyjack Softball Coverage During the spring semester KSAU is the place to catch the action of Ladyjack Softball. KSAU staff members produce the broadcast and provide play-by-play and color commentary. We cover all home games and the first games of double-headers; all broadcasts begin 15 minutes before the first pitch for pre-game programming. |
