Requirements

  1. Meet the class as scheduled.
  2. Work at least the minimum hours required for academic credit.
  3. Keep a detailed work log as discussed in class.
  4. Develop a portfolio of documentation as discussed in class.
  5. Visit with your supervising professor twice during the semester, once prior to mid-semester and once prior to final exams.
  6. Invite your supervising professor for a site visit. (2 times)
  7. Turn in your mid-term portfolio, work log, and On Site Professional Supervisor's evaluation (use the format listed below)
  8. Turn in your final portfolio, work log, and On Site Professional Supervisor's evaluation (use the format listed below)
  9. With your final package, include a completed student's "Appraisal of the Internship" form.
  10. Actively participate in recruiting other interns as discussed in class.
  11. Complete any additional work assigned by your supervising professor.
  12. Read the assigned chapters and complete the assignments as assigned in class.
  13. Turn mid-term and final report in during class meetings using a large brown envelope labeled as follows:
  • Your name
  • Your site location
  • Your supervising professor's name
  • Semester (example: Fall 2006)
  • Identify the report (example: "Mid-term Report" or "Final Report")
  • Your telephone number
  • Your E-mail address
