Step 6 involves various steps required to get your system ready to install Symantec Anti-Virus.

Do Step 6.1. and 6.2 and then proceed to Step 7.

 

You MUST turn off system restore before installing Symantec Anti-Virus. 

(When asked, click "Open" then "Run") to turn off system restore.
(These scripts have been tested for Windows XP only. DO NOT RUN ON WINDOWS VISTA!!! )
